Mickey Mantle's bat
One of the perks of being an intern at the BB Hall of Fame that even full-time employees do not get, is individual tours of the collections section of the museum. We request in advance what items we would like to see/touch/experience and they pull them out for us. The tours are one-on-one.Here are photos of Rayna and me holding Mickey Mantle's used bat. You can see the location on the bat where he hit the most -- right on the sweet spot. There was also a crack in the bat. Not sure what the significance of the #401 stamped on the bat.--Lisa

Subject: ticket #434520 late feeHello,I received an additional $10 "late fee" on a parking ticket #434520 I paid last month. Here's the story:I parked the car across the street from the Inn and fed the meter, while putting my teenage son on the bus to NYC. The bus arrived, and while I paid the driver for the bus ticket, my son rushed to get is bags out of the car. All set, we waived goodbye, I returned to my car to discover my son had pocketed the car keys.I phoned him to drop off the key in Lebanon, as that's the next stop (for the Boston bus). I hopped on a city bus to Lebanon, to the bus station. But the NY bus does not stop in Lebanon! I returned to Hanover. My car key has a security code so you can't just jump start it, nor simply have a key made. I live an hour north and my wife was out of town that week, so I couldn't get home to retrieve the spare key. Instead I had to have it towed to the Toyota dealer in White River Junction. Fortunately the towing fee was covered by road-side assistance, but I still had to pay $100+ to have the car "re-programmed" and a new key made.Sometime in the midst of all this, I got a ticket. It was just another slap, and i stuffed it into the glove compartment. I apologize I forgot about the ticket until I received the letter from Hanover in the mail.Would you be able to waive the remaining $10 late fee?Thank youSincerely,Jon
